The below information is available to assist you with preparing for your surgery day at Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center - Medical Center and Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center - North Central. On the Day of Your Surgery

On the day of your surgery you will need to be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 18. This person will need to remain in the reception/waiting area during the length of your surgery. He or she will be responsible for driving you home and caring for you immediately after surgery. Unfortunately ridesharing services such as Uber or Lyft will not be permitted as suitable, post-surgery trasportation.

Please bring the following items with you on the day of your surgery:

  • Photo identification such as driver’s license or government ID card
  • List of your medications
  • Emergency contact list

Children Undergoing Surgery

A parent or guardian must remain at the surgery center during the entirety of the child's surgery. Please bring a list of your child's medications if applicable.


Before You Go Home

Make sure that you understand all of your discharge instructions including prescription information, signs and symptoms to watch for and follow-up arrangements. We encourage you to ask questions.


Internet Access

Methodist Healthcare offers free Internet guest-access at many of our facilities. By using our wireless Internet access, you agree to adhere to our guidelines and policy presented to you at sign-on.


Surgery Center Hours

Your doctor will provide you with an arrival time.

Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 6:00pm
